Jessie Willcox Smith (1863-1935), one of America’s premier illustrators, captured the home life of the late-Victorian era. During the forty-four year span of her professional career she illustrated over sixty books, 250 periodicals and almost 200 covers for Good Housekeeping as well as many posters, calendars and prints. Having trained with the great Howard Pyle, she became America's premier female illustrator.
