"The style of work for a series of poems published by Harrap and Sons in the early thirties returned unashamedly to the early style. These books were The Night Before Christmas (1931), The King Of The Golden River (1932), Goblin Market (1933) and The Pied Piper of Hamelin (1934). (Gettings, p. 161).
"For the next three years Rackham and Harrap had a successful arrangement whereby two Rackham books, a long one and a shorter one, were published together annually. Thus in 1931, they brought out Walton's The Compleat Angler and Clement Moore's poem The Night Before Christmas. The limited edition of the latter sold out promptly." (Hamilton, p. 142).
