Quarto (11 3/8 x 8 15/16 inches; 289 x 227 mm.). iv, [24] pp. Twenty-four hand-colored etched plates. Text watermarked 1817, plates watermarked "J. Whatman 1819". Text leaf for "Mechanical Fiddler" with neatly repaired tear (no loss of text) and neatly repaired marginal tears to three plates - "Draymen", "Apple-Boy" and "Fireman". Some very light marginal foxing and staining and a few very small edge tears.

Bound ca. 1910 by Lloyd of London (stamp signed on front free end-paper). Half red morocco over red cloth boards, spine expertly rebacked to style with five raised bands, decoratively tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, gray end-papers, all edges gilt. A very good copy with early watermarks.
