A Landmark of English Fiction - The great trilogy by John Galsworthy - comprising The Man of Property, In Chancery, and To Let - here issued for the first time in a single volume, forming one of the most enduring portraits of English upper-middle-class life in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
A Nobel Laureate’s Defining Work: Awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932, John Galsworthy achieved lasting fame through The Forsyte Saga, a sweeping examination of property and possession, social ambition, family conflict and generational change.
The character of Soames Forsyte - at once compelling and deeply flawed - remains one of the most memorable creations in modern English literature.
